I’ve started my career in Jiu-Jitsu in 1991 at the original Carlson Gracie Academy in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro. I received formal training from legendary names such as Former UFC Middleweight Champion, Murilo Bustamante, The Jiu-Jitsu Legend Leo “Leozinho” Vieira, the Multiple times BJJ World Champion Celso Venicius through finally move to New York and train with the Gracie Family and the legend itself Renzo Gracie, Rilion Gracie, Robson Gracie and Igor Gracie, among others friends/ professors.

Jiu-Jitsu becomes a passion since day 1 in my life, born and raised in Rio I was surrounded by friends who trains the “Gentle Art” my entire life. It was more than a hobby, it’s a lifestyle that brings you so many benefits in Life like Self-confidence, Discipline, Making new friends and much more. Like the 10x World Champion Surfer, Kelly Slater use to say:
